Calmare® Scrambler

Calmare Pain Therapy Treatment

Peripheral Neuropathy is a disorder of the nervous system in which the nerves that connect the spinal cord to other regions of the body are damaged. Scrambler Pain Therapy is proud to offer an advanced treatment in Chandler AZ to help reduce or possibly eliminate peripheral neuropathy pain and symptoms*.

Scrambler Pain Therapy located in Chandler, AZ utilizes Calmare Pain Scrambling Technology as it is known  in the United States. Many of our clients have complained about not being able to find relief for their conditions, and the endless use of prescriptions drugs are producing alternative results compared to the pain relief for which they are prescribed. When a person is suffering from neuropathy in their legs or arms, most insurance companies will offer strict prescription drug treatments as the standard for neuropathy care. However, at Scrambler Pain Therapy we believe that treating the underlying cause of peripheral neuropathy will produce lasting results, rather than merely masking the symptoms with drugs. Surprisingly, the cost of Scrambler Therapy can be comparable to prescription medications and in-patient co-pays, in many cases, and the outcome can be life-changing.

If burning and stabbing pain in your body has taken over your life, Scrambler Pain Therapy Of Arizona can help you find relief with Calmare Therapy. Call (480) 857-2098 to schedule an appointment with one of our specialists.

How It Works

Using the Calmare device, small electrodes are carefully placed on the skin near the areas where the patient is experiencing pain. The Calmare device sends brief, mild electrical signals through the body to the brain. These electrical signals “scramble” the message to the brain that tell it that there is pain in a certain area, and the signals change the message to the brain, basically, telling it that there is no pain. What is happening here is that the Calmare device is sending low doses of stimulation to the nerves, which produces the “no pain” message, and that is when pain relief begins. The beauty of receiving treatment using the Calmare is that the device avoids the harmful, potentially fatal, adverse side effects, and addictive properties linked to narcotic painkillers.

The remarkability of Scrambler Therapy is its non-invasive approach to chronic pain with no side effects. According to Dr. Charles Loprinzi in association with his findings at the Mayo Clinic, research concluded on the benefits and effectiveness of Scramble Therapy, “clinical trial data that asked patients, daily while they were receiving 2 weeks of outpatient therapy and then weekly for 10 weeks of follow-up, whether they would recommend this treatment to others. Approximately 80% of the replies noted that they would recommend it” (, 2016).

Essentially, Scrambler Therapy has received FDA clearance in the United States, and it has continually helped patients find pain relief, particularly those “experiencing pain from cancer and chemotherapy, pain as a result of chronic diseases such as diabetes, multiple sclerosis and arthritis, back and neck pain, failed back surgery syndrome, and phantom limb pain among others” (, 2016).
